Lo excited to see a whale
After not seeing each other for almost exactly a year the greasy greek goddesses were reunited. Jana came to visit first so we got our tourist gear ready and took her around town. We went whale watching and saw a humpback whale fully breached. I didn't manage to snap any pics of the actual whale but our friend Lo got the winning shot. Next tourist destination was to feed the seals at the Oak Bay Marina. These seals are there year long and will sometimes splash you if you take too long to feed them. We then took her to the breakwater and around downtown to see some of our favourite places. We ended her trip with a visit up to Shawnigan to celebrate our nations birthday and have a greek night togas and all (ill post about that next).

Skip to a week later when Laura graced us with her presence. We took her to many of the same places, but added a few extras as well. We went to the amazing restaurant Rebar for some delicious vegetarian food, stopped off for an ice cream at Beacon Hill Drive In, and went to check out the baby pigs and goats at the petting zoo. On top of that we took a friday afternoon and went pickle boating. We had the perfect weather and company.
