This past
weekend was jam packed with fun activities. Friday night started off with a
real early dinner and a train ride to the seaside town of Whistable. We arrived
just in time to see the amazing sunset over the water. Our evening was spent at
the Royal Native Oyster Stores watching the best blue grass old rag-time band
called The Wiyos. If you have the chance to see them live you definitely
should. They're a 3-man band and each band member plays a plethora of
instruments from the stand up bass all the way to the washboard.
On Saturday we took a road trip to Surrey for one of Phil’s Uni friends engagement party. Everyone was very welcoming and it was really nice getting to meet Phil’s friends. They hadn’t all been together in over 5 years so they had plenty to catch up on and celebrate. The drinks were flowing, and as is customary in the UK, the night inevitably ended up in a kebab shop, with meat in a pita slathered in chilli sauce… surprisingly good, from what I remember!
